In Flevoland Greylags are ringed in the Oostvaardersplassen (1990) and in the Noorderplassen (1993 and 1994).
During summer, the birds vogels can be found in close proximity of the ringing site. After the breeding season, some individuals are observed in northern Germany, southern Denmark and south Sweden. During winter there are a few observations from Spain wintering in the Coto de Doñana in the most southern part and Villafafila in the northwest. Most observations of wintering geese are from the rest of the Netherlands. In November till January, many birds stay in the Delta area of southwest Netherlands.
